TCA Award Nominations

As if 19 Emmy nominations were not enough, Glee gets more nods from the TCA’s!

Freshman series “Glee” and “Modern Family” seem to always be at odds during awards shows, and this season’s Television Critics Association Awards is no exception. Both shows are up for Acheivement in Comedy, Program of the Year, and New Program.

Jane Lynch is also nominated individually as the only female candidate for Individual Achievement in Comedy. (Hello, Julie Bowen?) “Modern Family” men Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell are amongst her competition. Nick Offerman, who many considered to be subbed by the Emmy voters this season, and Jim Parsons round out the category.

Other shows that have gone unrecognized by the Emmys this year, but which appear on the TCA nomination list include “Sons of Anarchy,” “Parenthood” and “Party Down.” The lifetime achievement award will go to James Garner, Bill Moyers, Sherwood Schwartz, William Shatner, or Dick Wolf. 1. Did you bold the winners in the catagories? I think Glee won for Program of the Year -not Achievement in Comedy- Modern Family won in that catagory. Thanks for all the work you put on the site.
